Who We Are
Family owned and operated, Love, Peace and grilled cheese is the result of years of food service experience and a passion for serving others. Previous owners of the Upper Deck of Willsboro NY, we were fortunate to experience working together as a family and following a vision, all while growing a passion for hospitality. Feeding others is an expression of love and appreciation. Our hope is that we can bring the same love and excitement that fueled our prior success by offering an elevated dining experience with the casual atmosphere of a food truck, making great food available to a wider audience.
HOW We MET
We met at a festival…
At Camp Bisco in July of 2019, a journey of healing began. Little did David know that the young man, Cordel, camped next to him would become the first of many to join our family. He convinced Cordel to join him in New York to open a casual fine dining restaurant on Lake Champlain, just across from Burlington VT. They inherited Maddy from the previous owner and instantly began corrupting her with loud bass music and an impossible prep-list. This was truly just the beginning. Over the years we have adopted a ragtag bunch of amazing souls, connected by our love for Food and Music. Over the next three years we pushed ourselves well beyond our talents and pursued culinary prowess by gaining knowledge with each successful, and failed, dish. Even more importantly, we built a company culture. Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect became the foundation on which we reached for new heights.
After three successful years in the fine dining world, we made the decision to put our efforts into something more fitting to who we are. After another chance encounter, at Imagine Festival 2022, David, Danielle, Cordel and Maddy met and adopted Gabriel while he was doing a pop up free food event directly next to their camp.
An inception occurred:
Love, Peace + Grilled Cheese was created with one mission in mind. To spread the same love and acceptance experienced within the scene to every corner of the world by sharing the unity we created amongst ourselves, and pouring that energy into every bite served.
WHY WE DO THIS
Peace-Love-Unity-Respect (PLUR) is set of values and mindset that has spread within the Rave Community over the last 30 years. It allows for something almost magical. Utopian. A place where people from all origins come together and share love and unity under the flashing lights and lasers, bass reverberating their souls. Opening yourself to authenticity, compassion, acceptance. With a deep connection to the Scene, our owners and employees share our mission: To take these principals and spread them like a wild fire. To share with our community the same love and acceptance, compassion and courage that heals. To raise the vibration, consciousness, and frequency around us, providing a high energy experience.
